Meet Melissa Rogers

Melissa Rogers became the owner and manager of The Gathering Starkville in the spring of 2023. After spending 17 years in the hospitality industry, she recognized a need in the Starkville community for a welcoming space where families, friends, businesses, churches, and organizations could come together to celebrate life's milestones and create lasting memories.

As a mother of four, Melissa understands firsthand that some of life's most meaningful moments happen when people gather around a table, celebrate a special occasion, or simply spend time together. That belief is the heart behind The Gathering. Her hope is that every guest experiences the venue as a warm, inviting extension of home through its unique "Airbnb-style event space" model—comfortable, flexible, and designed to make every gathering feel personal.

Beyond The Gathering, Melissa is deeply committed to serving her community. She serves as a Partnership Ambassador, nonprofit board member and board chair, community volunteer, and advocate. She also continues to represent Chick-fil-A Starkville as its Community Connections Director, where she enjoys building relationships and supporting initiatives that strengthen the local community.
